SDG 16 — Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Peace is not just the absence of conflict — it’s the presence of fairness, safety, rights, accountability, and systems people can trust. SDG 16 is about reducing violence, protecting human rights, tackling corruption, ensuring access to justice, supporting free and safe civic space, and building institutions that serve everyone. This SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions page on SDG.VISION shares films and stories of practical action — led by young people, communities, educators, journalists, legal advocates, human rights organisations, peacebuilders, and public services — strengthening justice and dignity in real life.
If you’re helping people access justice, feel safer, participate in civic life, or build trust and accountability, your story can inspire others.

make justice and rights more understandable and accessible
connect people to support services and positive programmes
build partnerships across schools, communities, and institutions
celebrate real progress — and encourage more action where it’s needed
