Affordable, clean energy powers almost everything we rely on — homes, schools, hospitals, transport, jobs, and digital life. SDG 7 is about accelerating renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, and ensuring access to modern, reliable energy for everyone. It’s also about cutting bills, reducing pollution, and building resilient local energy systems that work in real life. Share your SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy film on SDG.VISION

We welcome films about any action that expands clean energy, reduces energy waste, or improves fairness and access — from home retrofits and school projects to community solar and national-scale innovation.

What you can submit

• Youth Action films:

  • Under 1 minute (ideal for social media)

  • Up to 3 minutes (a fuller story)

• Longer films are welcome too — we’ll feature them on SDG.VISION and link them clearly to SDG 7 content.

Topics we love (SDG 7)

• Solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and other renewable energy projects

• Community energy: shared ownership, local benefit funds, co-ops

• Heat pumps, insulation, draught-proofing, glazing, retrofits that work

• Fuel poverty support: warm spaces, advice services, fair tariffs, access schemes

• School and youth projects: energy audits, switch-off campaigns, student-led change

• Clean cooking and household energy access (UK and global stories)

• Battery storage, microgrids, smart meters, demand management

• Decarbonising public buildings: schools, libraries, community halls, sports clubs

• Clean transport links (especially where powered by renewables)

• Skills and jobs: training apprentices, green careers, local installer capacity
